  • I really think we should give him some fairness about how we judge him. He’s hurt and has been all season. He’s had missing tackles and RB’s hurt.

Ill take the 2 years ive seen before this one and bank on that.

Great analysis. OBJ watched that and said “I bet you miss me now, Cleveland.”

    No we don’t OBJ.

That was DPJ’s worst game for us. Before this game he was absolutely money every time the ball went in his direction. Also worth noting that Hollywood Higgins has fallen lower in the depth chart.

  • I posted the video in the Baker has Changed thread and an outing it here too. Kurt Warner’s breakdown of half one plus my own overall less emotion driven input.

As you can see from this video it’s more of the same in regards to the team as a whole. The little issues are built up and compound and haven’t been addre…[Read more]

Hunt doesn’t run a clean route and hits the OL. Watch the play from behind and watch Hunt. Baker MUST hold onto the ball – however there’s no one to throw to bc Hunt timing got thrown off so he had no choice. Here’s Kurt Warners breakdown of half 1.

  • Personally, I have liked Baker.

But I am a realist and realize he cannot win when the game is on the line. This is extremely disappointing. I thought this year would be different.

I have been so hopeless for the last 10+ years. This hurts to see them so bad again. Might as well start the rebuild.

MDP you read my mind about Brees. In fact I’d say Mayfield’s play style is almost a carbon copy of Brees.

He is beat the fuck up. You don’t let go of a guy just because he is beat the fuck up unless he doesn’t have toughness.

    Contract year for Mayfield.

  • Last year his QB rating for the year was over 95. He started out the season strong but over the last 3 games he’s around 60. Similarly he started out the season being extremely accurate but he hasn’t hit 70% completion in a game since Oct 10th. Also especially during the last game we saw him literally running away from defenders instead of…[Read more]

Soup I don’t disagree with a lot of the stuff you just said. We all watched the game. We all agree we looked like shit on offense and special teams.

What I’m specifically asking you to source is your statement that they ignore drops, penalties, and kicking accuracy in practice. What if they actually have been focusing MORE on those things in…[Read more]

1st in the NFL in presnap penalties
4th in the NFL in penalties. Would still be second but for some reason Hocculi has a job. The top 2 are Dallas and alas Vegas who each amassed 14 on Thanksgiving so Hocculi could see himself on TV.

First thing Gregg Williams did as coach was clean up penalties. Captain Harvard is too worried about his ego and…[Read more]

    Source?
Lol were you sober when you wrote this? I’m not excusing their pathetic play but I’m trying to picture the special teams practice you’re describing where no one cares about missing kicks. Just the kicker out there in the middle of the field doing the can-can?

  • soup replied to the topic It’s time in the forum Browns Forum 4 years, 3 months ago

Kevin Stefanski is the worst coach in the history of the Browns. All the talent and zero ability. 6 more drops tonight because they ignore drops in practice. More dumb penalties because they ignore them in practice. More missed kicks because they ignore them in practice. More horrid play calling because captain Harvard believes he’s the smartest p…[Read more]

  • I was actually trying to think of Solomon’s name. I must’ve been so traumatized I blocked it from my memory

  • He was REALLY bad.

Remember Solomon Wilcotts? And his “wisdom of Solomon” segment? Cringe.

  • I think Lavar only sounded so bad because we’ve had so many national games. Remember a few years ago the Lavars of the world called every one of our games.

Wills pops into my head as a guy who has had a ton of penalties especially last year. We have had injuries on the line so maybe a little bit of the penalties come from that but I think most of them this year have been illegal shifts or the WR’s not covering the tackles. It’s stupid shit. I’ve also seen multiple times where Baker has to get a WR…[Read more]

Penalties are by far the biggest issue with this team. This is one of the big reasons Stefanski should never call a play again (that and he sucks at it). He’s so busy playing OC that he flat out ignores penalties. Talk is cheap, he’s clearly not trying to rectify it. (we were the 8th most penalized team in 2020 with 100 penalties)

Correct, however Johnson only got 5 attempts. Absolutely silly sin that weather. To follow Det TD busy throwing 3 times was next level stupid.

  • Ice replied to the topic So now what? in the forum Browns Forum 4 years, 3 months ago

I also think Chubb was not 100% this week. He was pulled at some pretty inopportune times to take an extended breather. DeEarnest Johnson had a great game as a 1 time starter, but he’s not a replacement for Chubb. Luckily it looks like we’re getting Hunt back this week.

None of us know all the details about what Mayfield is fighting through but…[Read more]

He’s playing. The rest should’ve been yesterday. If Stefanski would’ve realized running the ball is the smart play he wouldn’t be so beat up. Hopefully we run against the Rats and hopefully we send those corner blitzes that have been neutralizing Lamar assuming his lungs don’t explode from the infection
