yup, it’s a bit more nuanced than that but still essentially true.

The huance part being: I want to draft a rare 1st round athletic talent that has only 1 year playing the position in the 2nd round. And I want to take a very large cover corner that excels at covering large WR’s and ask him to shutdown TE’s instead from the SS position.

The draft has plenty of Big CB’s that ca play safety as well as plenty of quality depth at safety.

Murray is more of a Nickel defender than a SS.

He and the now gone BBC were Minnesota’s CB tandem back like 4 years ago or so when they were in school.

1 with all the rules about targeting, it makes a thumper box safety less ideal than 1 who can cover TE’s IMO. SO I went with a big CB that is GREAT against big WR’s and sucks at the Callaway and smaller types because of the quickness/CoD disparity. Also I upgraded the LB core so hopefully safety help in the run D isn’t needed.
