Yeah been the big Browns fan since grade school. The Watson trade was bad, The Woods D. is a excellent scheme with a bad leader. KS’s scheme is run centric WCO is my favorite offensive scheme in football. His play calling and leadership haven’t produced.
AB is a good guy but a C+ GM when it comes to the draft. See 3 misses on defensive tackles thus far and 1 out of 3 in drafting LB’s, 1 out of 4 on WR’s thus far.
I so don’t want a clean sweep again. But thats where this train wreck is heading.

So, I’ve been keeping tabs on the site without posting for…what, 3-4 years now? I usually don’t find topics worth discussing anymore, as my own interest in the team has really declined the last few years. But there are some great memories, especially in the ugliest of times with you guys.
Dune. Ice. Shooter. Soup. BF4L. Dawson (yeah you’re still HIM). MDP. DS. And God help me, even Tree. And forgive me if I’ve missed anyone (it’s been a while)…we’ve gone through many a bad season, many a draft together. This place (and more so Dawgbones) never once shied from the theme it was meant to imply–a bunch of fellas talking sports, preferably over beer. Maybe have to shove some tables outta the way for Dawson and DS to duke it out but, things always ended up alright.
Still, something gets lost at the end of this month. Something that has been a constant in my life since…2005?

Fortner hass logged 600 _ snapps at all three interior positions and is better than Harris. So you have position versatility and better level of play.

Thats a bit harsh. These women saw a pay day but didn’t have any evidence other than a he said she said that he got handsy with hot female massueses spme who also did adult entertainers as well. There are no allegations of rape. Bottom line the grand jury saw insufficent evidence to even indite him. Also about a third of his accusers showed to make statements. I mean you accuse a guy of this but don’t have time to show up to testify?

I’m not being sarcastic at all, I’m genuinely curious if there’s someway you can tell from body language or something. How do you know what route is called and what route he runs?? I still stand by the trade. I still think it was a good trade. Dawg had a nice break down.
But in the scheme of things, the Browns needed a talented receiver. They went out and got the best. He just sucked. What can you say? Nothing is guaranteed. It was a great attempt at something that should have worked out.

Jarvis Landry is 28 years old, and this year marks the first time he’s missed any games in his career. Nothing you said about him is in any way true.
He may not be worth his contract, but it’s not becuase he has declined in any way. One terrible game does not define a career.Look right now the narrative and the facts say Jarvis is a declining player on a massive contract.

The Browns haven’t reupped Mayfield. And his play to this point hasn’t warrented it evidently as there has been no pen to papper.

Maybe AB should consider moving on if as mayfield is what the 3rd bext QB in the AFC North… Man did Dorsey passing on Josh Allen and trading for OBJ hurt this franchise. More and more IMO it is becoming apparent that Mayfield is just a guy not thee guy.

Dernest Johnson – Chubb lite. Liked him last year. Told @dawgsoldier this year when he was guessing rosters that they’d be foolish to drop him. 1 cut power back that lacks elite speed. Here’s the short version: busy.
I left news and started a new job working as a civilian contractor for the department of defense. That’s a fancy way of saying I’m a staff videographer for the Army. I shoot basic training.
Secondly, my freelance work has finally crept back into pre-Covid levels. It’s been a very, very long year and a half.
The most significant role though, is that I have finally made it to the NFL. I have been hired by the Carolina Panthers. Whaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat? Yeah, you all read that right, I work for the Panthers.
I’m still a devoted, die-hard Browns fan, and they are all aware of this lol.
All of this has taken a lot of time and effort though, and the Barking Lot is unfortunately on hiatus currently until I can get enough time to do it properly. But make no mistake, we WILL be back.
Does Soup still want everyone fired? Nevermind, I know the answer. Carry on gentlemen, I’ll try to drop by more often to school you guys about everything you’re wrong about, which is probably a lot. He does, but he actually played well last week. The fumble was Chubb. The muffed punt was on Gillan. I’m not faulting Baker for the pick because it was a fluke thing. Wasn’t a bad decision or a bad throw, just an absolute fluke shoe string grab that moved the ball off target.
Those 3 and outs are on in the 4th are on KS and Baker for sure though.

His overarching point is valid: that standard is raised.
But, it’s so laced with subtle Baker hate, I almost couldn’t listen to it. He had to point out, for no reason, that the Browns were the only team with 2 lineman ranked in the top 10. He made out like the Browns schedule is really easy, its not. They have around the 9th hardest in the league, though we do have 3 very winnable games coming up.
The whole rant is just laced with qualifiers to filter out anything good Baker does (becuase Colin knows he will play well) and focus in on the hardest situations.But Bake does need to play well in those situations if the goal is a superbowl. And if he doesn’t…, well “F” if I know what AB should do or should not do about that…
