Perception is reality. What better way to measure the perception of the Cleveland Browns roster outside the organization than through the ultra competitive gaming world of Madden 17? Let’s start by looking at the ratings for each position grouping:
QB: Robert Griffin III (74), Cody Kessler (74), Josh McCown (73), Kevin Hogan (67)
High: Tie -…[Read more]

I think everyone but Pryor and Williams will be back, with Erving being a potential cut after the preseason.
Jackson isn’t going anywhere. If we got rid of him now, we’d never have a legitimate chance at landing a top tier coaching prospect as long as Haslam owns the team and everyone knows that.
RG3 was hurt for a large part of the 2016…[Read more]

Not only did we win, we kept the #1 pick in the draft! Merry Christmas, you filthy animals!

Honestly……..no one. This QB class is garbage. At least as far as 1st round grades/talent go.
That’s like saying you got a good deal because the price you paid is $200 off the MSRP. Tom Brady was taken in the 6th round. Aaron Rodgers was taken after Alex Smith. Russell Wilson was taken after Brandon Weeden. Derek Carr was taken after Johnny Man…[Read more]

The concerns about big 12 QBs are legitimate. However, I think the thing that gives me cause to believe that this guy might actually be special is the fact that he was surrounded by a supporting cast devoid of talent that has almost no shot at ever playing in the NFL.
This isn’t Johnny Manziel with the 6’5″ Mike Evans, Sam Bradford with Trent…[Read more]

I don’t believe Jimmmy G is nearly as plug and play as folks think he is. Food for thought: Tom Brady is nearing the end of his career, I think it speaks volumes that Belichick is willing to let him walk. The 49ers let Montana walk, The Packers pushed Favre out, if the Patriots are willing to let Garoppolo walk instead of Tom Brady, that tells me…[Read more]

The more I watch film of Mitch Trubisky, the more confident I am that he will not be the Brown’s next signal caller. It’s not that he’s not good (he is), it’s that the film on Myles Garrett is absolutely stunning and honestly I don’t think Trubisky will be available when we use the Eagles pick (especially after last night’s divisional win over the…[Read more]

I loved the article, thanks for the link @shooter.
I agree MDP. THE UFA class for SS looks very strong this year with John Cyprien and Tony Jefferson leading the pack, FS is also looking very strong with Eric Berry and Bradley McDougald both unrestricted and WR is interesting if not outstanding with Alshon Jeffery, Kenny Stills, Kenny Britt…[Read more]

Favre played with Jets and Vikings after leaving the Packers, so I refuse to accept the assertion that he was ready to retire. The organization drafted Rodgers, liked what they saw (they developed him properly) and Rodgers wasn’t going to wait another 3 years to start. The organization had positioned itself to do what was in its best interest and…[Read more]

“Just to disagree, BPA does NOT mean BPA. The best long snapper in the history of the sport might be in this draft. Should we draft him 1st overall? Of course not. It’s a silly example but it illustrates an important point, that there is a gray area for BPA.”
I was referring to football players, not special teams. That sounds a lot meaner than I…[Read more]

I will say this about Trubisky; he has an NFL frame. Holy crap is this kid built like a brick shithouse.
Trubisky isn’t just a beast in cleats and a helmet though. The dude can throw some weight around. As he prepared to take on Stanford on Dec. 30, Trubisky took some time to Hang Clean a cool 325 pounds in the weight room, much to the delight…[Read more]

@soup and @shooter I’m going to disagree on Fournette simply because he’s not at a position of need. There’s a reason you take the Best Player Available. If Fournette is really the best RB since (or you feel he’s as good as) Adrian Peterson, he’s a player that can take over the game. Guys like that change the face of your franchise.

I wasn’t sure it met the high journalistic standards of BFT! In all seriousness though, I hadn’t intended on writing an article, this was merely a long winded post that got WAY out of hand (sometimes I think he talks just to hear himself speak). I have no issues putting it on the front page if you want it there, I just don’t like to presume. This…[Read more]

I think Garrett fits into the 3-4 as an OLB and compares favorably to Willie McGinest. He has that kind of every down high energy motor and is even more athletic than the great McGinest was (there’s more to playing OLB than athleticism though). He is Jadaveon Clowney with a non stop motor and positive attitude. You can’t avoid his rush by just…[Read more]

As the 2016-2017 NFL season is coming to a close, it appears as if the Browns are about to join the Detroit Lions as the only teams in the NFL to lose all 16 games in a single season. Since 1944, only 4 teams have gone winless: The 1960 Dallas Cowboys, the 1976 Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the 1982 Baltimore Colts and the 2008 Detroit Lions. With the 6-7…[Read more]
