So was Derek Carr. And Jimmy has bigger hands than Carr does.
And Carr has a stronger arm than Jimmy does.
Why did Drew Brees fall to the bottom of the 2nd round? Why did Aaron Rodgers fall to the bottom of the 1st? Why did Andy Dalton fall to the 2nd? Why did Derek Carr fall to the 2nd? Why did Dak Prescott fall to the 3rd? Why did Russel…[Read more]

It’s not that I think Garappolo is some 2nd coming or anything, it’s just math.
See, the key to being successful at math is understanding the assumptions and quantifying the correct variables while recognizing that correlation does not imply causation.
The question you’ve not answered (or apparently even asked) is why Jimmy Garoppolo fell to…[Read more]

Bull,
First things first: Sorry about your daughter. I can’t imagine how frustrating it must be as a parent to watch your child endure so much while you remain powerless to help her. You (and she) will be in my thoughts. As someone who has had multiple back surgeries (including a fusion) and a MRSA staph infection, I am all too familiar with the…[Read more]

It’s a huge risk on the part of those franchises to take any of those guys honestly, and I think they know that.
Says the guy who would trade for Garoppolo, who was drafted at the end of the second round in 2014 from a spread offense and has literally seen two starts before getting injured. I mean, I get that you favor Garoppolo (I don’t even t…[Read more]

Honestly, at this point, I think the only thing that is certain is the fact that we need a franchise QB. Our opinions may differ about who that should be, but the underlying fact is essentially uncontested by all involved.
I’m also not seeing why this class is taking so much flack. I think they are miles ahead of last year’s class, and that was…[Read more]

I mean let’s be honest here, you’re arguing with me that I’m nuts for wanting Jimmy G, and your best argument to me in NOT doing so is because there’s a guy available in the draft that’s coming out of college just like him minus the 3 years of study in an NFL system.
So first thing is I don’t think you’re nuts for wanting Jimmy G. He seems lik…[Read more]

it is good he is going to a QB school to pro fundamentals. but thats a LONG way from being comfortable enough to run a pro offence from the line complete with audibles.
That’s true of every rookie QB, air raid/spread or not. Look at Connor Cook’s performance in the playoffs. 14 of 21 for 1 TD, 1 INT and 2 fumbles.
Mahomes seems the BEST of the…[Read more]

As of yet no Air raid Allum has being able to over come the hurdle that is their college football experiance counting for NOTHING in their attempt to transition to the NFL.
They were saying the same thing about the spread less than a decade ago. The focus used to be on developing QBs for the NFL. College football took off, and winning National…[Read more]

Why you guys keep failing to take any of this into account is beyond me. It destroys the point of “if they trade him, it’s because they think he’s garbage”. It’s absurd. If Belicheck thinks he’s a franchise QB and keeps him, then he’d 2 franchise QB’s, and guess what? Only 1 can play. It doesn’t matter what Belicheck thinks of him, unless he’s…[Read more]

I feel you Dawg. Unfortunately, the Browns are in a position where they have to take risks if they want to succeed. We’re so bad at so many positions that simply drafting a QB, even one that has franchise potential, does not guarantee he can perform at a franchise QB level. Sure, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers can elevate the players around them now,…[Read more]

So, we’re at the “small hands” argument?
No, we’re at the “small hands”, “small arms”, “three quarters delivery”, “does not rip or spin the ball”, “undershoots and often hangs the deep ball”. Show me that those things are no longer valid and I’ll remove my objections. Jimmy G. has had 2 good games early in the season when weather has not been…[Read more]

Free Agency: Since the return, this team has struggled to find its identity on either side of the ball.
Defense: I do what I have to do to land Eric Berry. He is a defense defining safety and will set the tone for the defense as Reed did with the Ravens and Polamalu did with the Steelers. I add the best young, competent talent I can at DB. Guys…[Read more]

Is a tad undersized with small hands (9 1/4″) and short arms (31″). Uses a three-quarters delivery that could lead to…[Read more]
