I don’t believe that McDaniels wanted Podesta fired, he wanted to be in charge of Podesta. I believe that in McDaniels’ mind he should be elevated above Haslam.

I was very sad to learn that his name is pronounced like ‘baton’ and not like ‘Patton’. Nonetheless he seems to be respected around the league. I have not been overwhelmed by the GM candidates that were announced but that’s what you get when they report to the HC.

14 years in the NFL with the same team, coaching almost every offensive position group, working his way up to OC and calling plays for over 1 season…. that’s zero qualifications in Soup’s book.

Do we have the horses for that? It requires blockers who are fast and effective at the 2nd level. Right now we’re built of big maulers. Tretter and Bitonio are really the only guys we need to build around. We don’t have a left tackle under contract.

I’m not sure what that has to do with our OC, but at the point you posted this the 49ers defense is shutting out the Packers, holding them to under 100 yards and has recovered a fumble.

Stefanski stated in his presser that whoever on the staff is the best at calling plays will call the plays. If it’s him, then so be it. If it is someone else, then so be it. Soup reads into that “STEFANSKI WILL BE CALLING THE PLAYS AND THAT SUCKS!!!”

You didn’t link any articles about Childress’ hand in ‘developing’ Stefanski’s offense. Or DeFelipo’s hand. Why not? Or perhaps more importantly who cares? Why do I care which coaches helped inspire the offense he’s going to bring to Cleveland. All I care is that it works.

I agree with a lot of that BF4L. Money Mitchell is a starting CB in this league. Greedy has him beat in pure athletic ability but Mitchell seems to always be in good position.
