  • My thoughts: I’m not crazy about it. Trading OBJ for a 3rd?!? Why? We can afford him and he’s a game changer. You don’t throw that away for a 3rd.

I’ll never understand the Hubbard hate here. Yeah he’s not good enough to be a starter but he’s a good backup who can play multiple positions on the line. I don’t know that Lamm is better than him,…[Read more]

  • Both took their new teams to the Superbowl. You’re comparing Watson to the GOATS. There’s no comparison IMO.

From an analytical point of view there’s no reason to move away from Baker to any other QB. We’ve built a team around him based on his skillset and it’s finally locked in. We’re certainly not going to invest any new resources in a QB…[Read more]

  • Watson MAY be better than Baker… now. 5 years from now I don’t think so. And look at Baker once the offense ‘clicked’ mid-Nov. 15 TD’s, 2 INT’s, 2400 yards (267 yards per game) 6 wins and 3 losses INCLUDING 2 PLAYOFF GAMES. There’s no reason at all to move away from Baker. When you have a top 10 QB in the league you don’t screw around and try to…[Read more]

  • The only way this trade could be deemed as a success is a Super Bowl victory. Anything less will make the trade stupid.

Saying someone is a better QB than Goff counts as worship now?

  • Ice replied to the topic Matt Stafford in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 2 months ago

I’m not saying the trade was smart, history will tell. I can say I’d much rather have Stafford on my team than Goff. Is the difference worth 2 first rounders? Got me.

  • Sadly I think Watt is on the downside of his career. The question is how fast he slides down that hill.

The question of trading Baker at this point is ridiculous. I AM worried about Watson getting to Pitt though…

The trade is lopsided because of the disgusting contract that comes with Goff. It’s very much like when we took that QB from the Texans and they sent us a 2nd rounder with him and we gave them nothing. Rams needed to be out from under that contract if they wanted to get anything done.

  • Watson has a no trade clause and Cleveland isn’t one of the teams he is willing to be traded to and I wouldn’t do this trade anyway. The cost would be too much.

Giving up multiple first rounders isn’t going to improve the defense.

  • Mike Pettine’s time with the Green Bay Packers is coming to an end.

Pettine, who has been the Packers Defensive Coordinator for the last 3 seasons won’t have his contract renewed according to a source.

Green Bay ranked ninth in total defense (334 yards per game) and 13th in scoring (23.1 points per contest) this campaign.

    The club also fired…[Read more]

  • Let me qualify this by saying I do not in any way, shape, or form like Cowherd. With that being said, he makes a hell of a lot of sense and that is unusual.

  • Definitely no reason to cut Hubbard. He is going to make 3.75M this year and depth is a good thing. Hubbard plays both tackle and guard but I believe he is better suited for guard. Lamm plays tackle. Neither is going to start but it is nice to have depth and both provide that.

    I wouldn’t trade OBJ.

Your draft was pretty much right on as far…[Read more]

  • OBJ when healthy is one of the best receivers in the game. Health has been an issue for sure but I wouldn’t trade him. If he had been playing in the KC game I am pretty sure we would have won it.

Baker has really learned the offense and went through his progressions pretty consistently from the midpoint of the season on. With OBJ on the field,…[Read more]

  • Completely proud of how the Browns played this year. They are set up for success. Stefanski has his ups and downs as a rookie head coach and but things are looking pretty damn good for the team.

  • Earlier in the year one of our defensive players hit a QB in the face on an interception and it wasn’t called. We won the game by less than one score so was that one rigged in our favor? There have been other calls that went our way where if the refs made the right call we would probably lose.

Also, on the Higgins one, it would be a 15 yard…[Read more]

  • Big Jen is done. I hope everyone joins me in hoping beyond hope that the Steelers make Haskins their starter for 2021.

YOU’RE CHEATING ON BFT?!? HOW COULD YOU!?!??!?

I haven’t seen you hating on him, you’re just making the case we’d be better off without him. Maybe on those ‘other boards’ you’ve been more hateful.

  • Ice replied to the topic About OBJ………. in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 3 months ago

What if you could pay opposing defenses to pull one of their safeties off the line and put them into deep coverage instead? It would allow our running game to be even more potent than it is already and make the defense much easier to read for Mayfield. Would you pay them $1mil a game just to force them to play a safety deep that they were going to…[Read more]

Once Baker finally learned this offense, about halfway through the season, he was deadly. Can you imagine just how deadly he would have been if instead of Hollywood Higgins defenses were trying to key on OBJ?!? At the VERY least he would make them pull a safety off the line of scrimmage and our ridiculous running game would become even more ridiculous.

  • Ice replied to the topic Game is rigged in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 3 months ago

If they call all of those we’re still losing. Currently we have 2 penalties for 15 they have 3 for 25. Let’s not pretend the refs are the reason we’re losing.
