@soup Well no 1st rounders but a bunch of 2nd rounders.
@dawgsoldier Keep dreaming!
@MPD From what I hear our base set will be 2 TE. With Njoku gone that means we’re relying on a mid-round draft pick as a starter and that’s not a great thing.
Ice replied to the topic David Njoku asks for trade in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 9 months ago
It’s a shame. I like Njoku but honestly last year was the year he needed to prove himself and he didn’t. He got injured then somehow ended up in Freddy’s doghouse and didn’t produce at all.
It’s the typical path for the Browns. Grab a guy with a 1st round pick, guy shows flashes but not enough, Browns trade him for a late round pick, guy goes on…[Read more]

Nate Boyer doesn’t speak for all military. It is just one mans opinion. I know plenty of people, retired and active who think it is disrespectful to kneel during the national anthem.
Ice replied to the topic Mayfield will kneel during the anthem in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 10 months ago
Highly likely that will happen. Even if the NFL doesn’t broadcast it, news outlets surely will. I fully expect photos of every team on the sidelines kneeling during the anthem to be front page on every website.
Ice replied to the topic Mayfield will kneel during the anthem in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 10 months ago
It sounds like the entire team will be taking a knee during the anthem. Our new HC is very ‘woke’.
I absolutely hate injecting politics into football, whether I agree with the politics or not. I don’t want to be reminded of the ‘real world’ when I’m watching my Browns on Sunday.
BrownsFan4Life replied to the topic Mayfield will kneel during the anthem in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 10 months ago
Mayfield says he doesn’t care if he loses fans because of his kneeling just shows his immaturity. Of course no one accused him of being a good leader. He could have easily said that he respects whatever decisions someone makes but he will be kneeling. Instead he just said take it or leave it.
I really wouldn’t expect anything else from him.…[Read more]

Maybe Wunkle has been reading my mind then making minor changes LOL.
I agree Jim Brown, Otto Graham, and Lou Groza. The 4th player is really difficult though. There are so many that could be mentioned to include Thom Darden, Doug Dieken, and Dick Schafrath.
It is so easy to go offense but some say Bill Willis is the best defensive Browns player…[Read more]

There are compelling arguments for all the names mentioned. However, if it were up to me, this would be my list . . .
1 – Jim Brown: Enough said there.
2 – Otto Graham: The only Browns QB to win multiple league championships. As beloved as Brian Sipe and Bernie Kosar are in Cleveland, neither of them can make that claim. He was also the…[Read more]

Good take. I agree that JT would be the 5th option. My reservation with him is twofold; 1) He wasn’t always considered the best player at his position while he was playing and 2) he did not revolutionize his position.

I was ready to throw down upon seeing this article but the 4 they picked; Brown, Graham, Newsome, and Groza, are the 4 I would have said. All 4 of them completely revolutionized the position they played.
Anyone disagree with that list?

Now it is being reported that the Browns offered Clowney a base salary of $12 Million on a one year deal.
It was reported that Seattle offered him $18.5 Million per year but doesn’t say how many years before he decline it.
Clowney screwed himself because no one will be paying him that much this year. If he really wants to play then he is going…[Read more]

If Berry offered Clowney a one-year “prove it” deal, that’s fine. His stats have not matched up to the talent of a top five draft pick. Let him earn his money and deal with any consequences next year.
BrownsFan4Life replied to the topic Browns offer DE Clowney a contract in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 11 months ago
I have read many different articles and they all say it was for the most money. They don’t say if it was a one year or multi-year deal.
My guess would be to sign him to a multi-year deal. Then after this season they would cut Oliver.
With someone like him, I don’t see them just offering a one year deal. Maybe the actual offer will leak.

Okay you don’t like Grigson for a mistake he made over 6 1/2 years ago by trading a first round pick (26 overall).
Mistakes happen and you learn from them.
Grigson did some good and some bad just like every other GM does. He was the Colts GM from 2012 – 2016 and in those seasons the Colts finished 11-5, 11-5, 11-5, 8-8 and 8-8. Never had a losing…[Read more]- Load More
