Soup doesn’t realize that you sign players to short term contracts as stopgaps. I guess he thinks every player on the team should be an all pro and signed to a multiplayer deal.

The fact that soup doesn’t have anything good to say in spite of most of the national media saying we’ve had one of the best free agent years of any team.

I’m not sure that the NFL has an answer to that yet. We’re in uncharted waters here.

In this scenario, without trades, I have no complaints. Getting a stud LT who will be a fixture for at least the next 5 years is a good thing.

However, I do think the Browns will be trading up in this draft to take Simmons. I just don’t know how far they will have to trade up.

Soup we tried to trade for him last year. Washington declined all offers on him because they wanted to be punitive.

Jason Peters is still an option. Wouldn’t have to give up a draft pick for him.

Becton and Wirfs will most likely be gone at 10. Maybe the Browns trade up to ensure they get the tackle they want.

This should speak volumes for what type of offense Stefanski wants to run and the fact that the front office is on board with bringing in players that fit. Yeah, Vernon is as good as gone but Griffin would be an upgrade.

That is a very unimpressive free agent class.

It says in their contract that if they aren’t available for 10 games (IIRC) that their contract will not toll.
