I need a little clarification. Is the bet that Sam will be the #1 guy or that Sam will be the #1 pick and the Browns will be taking him?

For Ice to win, for example, could the Giants trade up with us and take Darnold?

I agree with Ice. Allen would never sit here for 2, 3 years. I doubt he’d even get to sit for one year. A good place for him would be sitting behind Eli in NY, depending on how long he wants to keep playing. SD would be another.

As for who he reminds me of…..I keep thinking Jay Cutler.

Kendall Fuller. The Chiefs pulled down a third and a pretty good CB for a QB they no longer wanted. Not bad.

That could work. He’d be a willing mentor to whoever we take in the draft, although we don’t know how much longer he wants to play. McCarron would work for me as well. If he turns into something more than a bridge-type QB, even better.

I admit, I was pretty impressed watching one of his highlight clips on Youtube. I get what the Allen guys like about him. But to me, I don’t see his accuracy improving all that much as a pro. For me, it’s Mayfield (I’m in the minority on that, I know) or Darnold.

I voted for Alex, I’d also consider Drew Stanton, who I think will be available as a free agent.

Honestly, I don’t even remember if Wolf recommended Holmgren, although the GB ties are there. That wouldn’t make me question this hire, though, even as bad as the Holmgren era was.
