GABrownsFanParticipantUgh. This offense is brutal to watch. I was wrong when I said our offense would be better this year.
August 16, 2025 at 10:59 pm #21942
GABrownsFanParticipantBrowns looking good in the preseason. No matter who starts at QB, our offense will be better this year. Last year watching Watson, Jameis and DTR was brutal.
December 15, 2024 at 8:58 pm #21936
GABrownsFanParticipantThoughts on Drew Allar or Jalen Milroe? I’m not big on Sanders or Cam Ward.
October 27, 2024 at 10:24 pm #21934
GABrownsFanParticipantAmazing how good this offense looked today. Great win!
October 13, 2024 at 7:14 pm #21928
GABrownsFanParticipantSo, who do we select with the first overall pick?
October 6, 2024 at 11:59 pm #21926
GABrownsFanParticipantWhat have we gotten from Watson so far? 1, 1 1/2 good games?
Worst trade ever.
September 29, 2024 at 8:26 pm #21924
GABrownsFanParticipantWell, that was a fun game today….
September 18, 2024 at 4:14 am #21918
GABrownsFanParticipantYeah, I saw that Florio wrote that the last two years could be voided if he’s suspended again. I don’t know what to think of that.
But even if we got out of that, we’ve restructured so many times that the cap hit would be huge–even if it’s stretched over two years. But we do have like 60 million in cap space now (ironically due to restructuring Watson’s contract again.)
What a freaking mess. I miss Baker, too. I’m glad he’s found a home in Tampa.
September 12, 2024 at 2:23 pm #21914
GABrownsFanParticipantAnd now Tony Buzbee’s claiming to have a “pertinent” video.
September 11, 2024 at 5:27 pm #21912
GABrownsFanParticipantI tried to start a new thread, but it says it’s awaiting moderation.
I was just posting on good ol’ Deshaun being in trouble again.
January 6, 2024 at 1:54 am #21893
GABrownsFanParticipantNo, there’s no way we cut Watson. Even trading him would be a headache, even with moving around money like they do.
He’s had a couple great games, some good. Far from the Houston Watson we thought we were getting though. We haven’t really gotten 230 million dollars worth. Maybe next year. He gets a lot of credit for the TN game and the second Balt. game.
But to me, in a small sample size, Flacco’s just looked better.
The trading him away for all I care statement was not to be taken literally.
December 28, 2023 at 11:53 pm #21889
GABrownsFanParticipant11 and 5 and we’re in the playoffs!
December 24, 2023 at 6:47 pm #21887
GABrownsFanParticipant10 and 5! Loving Flacco. They could ship off Watson for a couple of second rounders for all I care.
December 17, 2023 at 5:46 pm #21885
GABrownsFanParticipant9 and 5!
December 13, 2023 at 12:30 am #21883
GABrownsFanParticipantI agree 100 percent. Sometimes his playcalling drives me crazy, but being at 8-5 with all these injuries….gotta give the man his due. Hurst is done for the season as well (not a starter, but still).
Flacco’s really looked good so far. I think he’s only going to get better as well.
And props to Stef and Berry for getting us Hopkins.
December 11, 2023 at 10:21 pm #21879
GABrownsFanParticipantNever thought I’d see the day where we would be cheering for Joe Flacco!
October 16, 2023 at 3:56 am #21877
GABrownsFanParticipantOkay, this defense is nasty! I love it! Great win over SF!
September 25, 2023 at 3:56 am #21873
GABrownsFanParticipantNice to see the team bounce back.
Jim Schwartz is such an upgrade.
Woods’s defense gave up 18 points in the last 11 minutes against Green Bay. Can’t say that I’m shocked.September 19, 2023 at 1:31 am #21869
GABrownsFanParticipantLooking like Nick is out for the year. Love that guy. Hope he heals up for next year.
September 19, 2023 at 12:05 am #21867
GABrownsFanParticipantSure glad we have a “superstar” QB now.
September 16, 2023 at 1:32 am #21865
GABrownsFanParticipantIt was insane. I’m not getting my hopes up…..but it’s hard not to seeing this defense–especially compared to last year’s defense.
September 10, 2023 at 5:55 pm #21861
GABrownsFanParticipantBrowns 24, Bengals 3. I think that makes Stefanski 6-1 against Cincy. Great way to start the season!
August 15, 2023 at 6:09 am #21857
GABrownsFanParticipantI’m surprised he fell that far. I was white-knuckling the last day of the draft because I wanted us to take him. I loved watching him play while he was with UCLA. Really, the only reason I’m into the preseason is to watch him. LOL
August 12, 2023 at 4:42 pm #21853
GABrownsFanParticipantAnother great showing from DTR…..
August 6, 2023 at 4:09 am #21849
GABrownsFanParticipantI second the nomination!
July 2, 2023 at 12:11 am #21843
GABrownsFanParticipantLOL Site’s still up and running….
May 2, 2023 at 4:32 am #21836
GABrownsFanParticipantStill here. BFT cannot be stopped!
February 16, 2023 at 11:53 pm #21832
GABrownsFanParticipantSaints hired Joe Woods to be their DC. Good luck to him.
January 17, 2023 at 9:41 pm #21828
GABrownsFanParticipantSchwartz it is.
January 13, 2023 at 11:45 pm #21824
GABrownsFanParticipantWe can add Philly’s defensive pass game coordinator Dennard Wilson to the list.
January 13, 2023 at 11:33 pm #21822
GABrownsFanParticipantThe site’s still going….so….
Who’s your preference for defensive coordinator? Mayo is out, so we’re looking at Schwartz, Flores and Desai–unless the team wants to bring somebody else into the mix. I think I want Schwartz.
December 7, 2022 at 2:51 pm #21812
GABrownsFanParticipantYou’re not the only won who keeps checking. LOL
As for Deon, I’ll say no. But only because I think/guess that if he succeeds at Colorado, maybe he goes to another college job, maybe in the SEC. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he did eventually end up in the NFL. All just speculation on my part.

GABrownsFanParticipantOctober 30, 2022 at 12:02 am #21790
GABrownsFanParticipantAlmost forgot about this. Figured I’d leave it here for a laugh.
A friend of mine that I met on Dawgbones and I have kept in touch over the years. For the Jets game, he came out and brought his girlfriend. He told me that she doesn’t really know anything about football.
But during the game, she asked my friend, “How come they don’t just keep giving it to number 24?”
That’s how good Nick Chubb is.
October 23, 2022 at 4:34 pm #21770
GABrownsFanParticipantI joined Dawgbones in 2005 and joined BFT after DB closed. It’s been a great run. Ice, thanks for giving us Dawgbones alums a place to go after DB closed down.
BF4L, DS, Dawgpound Dude, MDP, Dawg E. Dawg, Dawson, Soup, Bill Wunkle, Shooter, Ice, and anybody I may have missed–I’ve enoyed enjoyed reading your posts over the past 16+ years. This has been a great group to hang out with.
My two favorite memories are Soup somehow figuring out Phil Savage’s email address (that still cracks me up) and of course, the greatest thread of all–the Brady Train.
I’ll miss Soup’s Gameballs and Goats (and everyone telling him that he was wrong) and DS and Wunkle’s mocks.
I’m so Watsoned-out right now. I was always uncomfortable with getting him and now another case comes up. How many more? The team not only traded a ton of draft capital and fan goodwill, they traded away the 2022 season as well.
Regardless, I’ll keep watching, even if I have to hold my nose while doing so.
If any of you ever start up a site or find a good one, I can be reached at goodell93@gmail.com.
Take care guys, and thanks for everything.

GABrownsFanParticipantMore on the spike from Florio. I’d have to go back and watch it again myself, but this is what he saw.
“Along the way, I realized a fairly important fact. I had yet to watch the play. So I did.
Brissett immediately began a continuous throwing motion to spike the ball. He spiked it quickly. Also, while not moving his left foot, he took a big step backward with his right foot. It made the play look odd and unconventional. But it complied with Item 3.
Also, Item 4 (which some have been quoting) doesn’t apply. There was no delay in the passing action for strategic purposes. There was no delay at all.”
September 12, 2022 at 1:39 am #21720
GABrownsFanParticipant“I did not see the helmet to helmet contact because I was paying more attention the the arm so I went back and watched it and there was definitely helmet to helmet contact”
Yeah, I didn’t see it at first, then saw another angle and definitely saw it.
September 12, 2022 at 1:01 am #21719
GABrownsFanParticipantMore on that roughing the passer penalty.
If anyone thinks the roughing call was bogus, Burns’ helmet clearly hits Brissett’s, and his head violently snaps back. Jed Wills’ right arm (red arrow) is way below head level, so it wasn’t his arm as some seem to think. #Panthers #Browns pic.twitter.com/DgObnVryiG

GABrownsFanParticipant“It wasn’t pretty and they have a lot to work on but I will take a 24-23 win on the road against Baker who looked like … Baker.”
Yeah, BFFL, I agree. Baker’s stat line looked the same as almost every week he was with us–and I’m a Baker bro. It is what it is.
I think we’ll see more production from Jacoby as the season goes on. At least I hope so.
September 11, 2022 at 6:08 pm #21713
GABrownsFanParticipantSeriously worth a fourth rounder. We finally have a kicker. That kick had room to spare as well. When we drafted him, I looked up that kick he made in the fog against Florida(?) and was impressed. He saved us today.
January 30, 2022 at 7:23 pm #21500
GABrownsFanParticipant“That’s amazing news for us, and a great look for our front office as well. Usually we’re the ones scouting other teams for a GM, good to see the worm had turned.”
I had the same reaction. Very cool. We also had Glenn Cook, our vice president of player personnel, get an interview with Minnesota and Chicago.
Love getting the extra picks, as well.
January 6, 2022 at 3:16 am #21474
GABrownsFanParticipantYeah, DS, we know you can’t stand Baker.
Anyway, Stefanski trotting out an injured Mayfield did nothing for the team. And I love Mayfield. But not sitting him while he was clearly injured didn’t help the team. We signed Keenum for a reason. Probably wouldn’t have won a lot more games with him, but I think he could’ve gotten a couple.
The play calling’s bizarre. Can’t agree with you guys more on that. Soup cited the pass v. rush attempts of the last several games–all with a badly beaten up QB. Makes no sense. If anything, you’d want to run the ball even more to protect him. Stef went pass happy.

GABrownsFanParticipantDecember 3, 2021 at 6:58 am #21392
GABrownsFanParticipant“This seems eerily reminiscent of when Drew Brees got hurt and San Diego decided they were better off moving on. They also had the benefit of a #1 pick with a generational prospect available, which we do not in this case.”
Great video on the similarities between Brees and Baker.
November 22, 2021 at 5:47 pm #21345
GABrownsFanParticipantI’d sit him for a few weeks. We really don’t have much of a chance with Baker in there in his condition. Rest him next Sunday and we’ll see where he is coming out of the bye week.
November 8, 2021 at 9:38 pm #21285
GABrownsFanParticipant“Chubb’s TD celebration is to walk straight to the bench with the expression of a kid who dropped their icecream cone.”
He’s just upset that he had to stop running once he reached the end zone.
November 7, 2021 at 7:01 pm #21265
GABrownsFanParticipantLOL I heard Romo talking about that too. Loved it. Glory hound can go infect another team.
What a great performance all the way around from this team after all the drama this week.

GABrownsFanParticipantTo quote a certain owner of this site….
“The season is a marathon, not a sprint.”
I still feel good about our chances this year as well.
September 19, 2021 at 5:26 pm #21105
GABrownsFanParticipantLOL I would like to commend her for being such a great elf!
September 19, 2021 at 4:26 pm #21099
GABrownsFanParticipant“David Culley: playing vs the worst D in the NFL decides to decline a penalty and punt instead of another 3rd down chance”
Yeah, I couldn’t believe that. Why not take another shot?
I’ll throw in a game ball for Delpit for that hit on Mills.
Goat for Woods for sure. Took forever to turn the heat on a rookie QB in his first NFL action.
August 14, 2021 at 12:27 pm #21033
GABrownsFanParticipantSteelers gave up a sixth rounder.
May 10, 2021 at 10:40 pm #20976
GABrownsFanParticipant“This will be the first year that I can remember when there are going to be players getting cut who will definitely be picked up by another team and actually contribute.”
LOL I know. I remember when we’d be following released players from the good teams and wondering if we’d sign anybody. Now we’re one of those good teams. Still getting used to it.
May 1, 2021 at 11:02 pm #20953
GABrownsFanParticipantI was surprised that he went undrafted. It was awhile back, but I know some mocks made before the season had him pegged as potential first rounder. Another great Berry move.
May 1, 2021 at 5:17 pm #20946
GABrownsFanParticipantI saw that we also added a fourth rounder from Detroit in 2022.
May 1, 2021 at 5:14 pm #20945
GABrownsFanParticipantBill Callahan will work his magic on this guy. I really like this pick. 6’5″ and over 300 pounds.
May 1, 2021 at 2:07 am #20931
GABrownsFanParticipantI absolutely LOVED this pick. It didn’t really cost us too much to move up, either. How he got out of the first round undrafted is unreal. I’m still smiling about this.
April 30, 2021 at 1:11 pm #20919
GABrownsFanParticipantI’m hoping we come out of day 2 with a WR as well. We can come out of day 2 with three high quality players. I think OBJ will be gone after this year just due to cap concerns.
April 30, 2021 at 12:06 am #20902
GABrownsFanParticipantHe missed a lot of games in college due to injury. I don’t mind them going corner–I would have much preferred the LB out of ND–but we have two CBs who have trouble staying on the field as it is. Quality player, but personally don’t like the pick at all due to the injury concerns.
