Agree, and it mostly comes from rule changes that took place in the last decade. Since changing the rules regarding what is/isn’t a catch, interference, roughing, and illegal hits those calls have been a constant problem and the main source of inconsistency by refs.

They were 17th in yards per rush, 5th in yards per pass attempt. There’s very little correlation there. There is more correlation to uniform colors in the Superbowl.

IIRC it was a PLAY CLOCK issue too. Like yeah even though the play clock was missing 10 seconds we still got the shot off in time, don’t blow the fucking whistle after the kick is in the air! Had that play actually affected the game I’d have lost my mind.

The Patriots/Chiefs game was absurd.

Way more concerning to me was when all the refs signaled a catch, and 20 seconds later the head ref announces “The call on the field is incomplete pass”. Based on WHAT?!? You can’t overrule the call on the field without a review! The reffing in our game was again very choppy, but bad calls helped us as much as they hurt us.

We agree on that, though we may disagree on who the idiot is.
