Apparently as many teams had him as the #1 QB as Darnold. If you guys love stats (and I know a few of you do) then Mayfield is far and away the best QB of the group. Here’s one I found very interesting: For throws that traveled over 20 yards through the air Mayfield’s completion percentage is 20% HIGHER than any of the other top 5 QB’s in that draft.

In college my roommate got arrested for being a drunken idiot. In the back of the cop car he managed to get his hands in front of him, roll down the window, open the car door from the outside, and jump out at a red light. You guys know I’m a serious doubter of Gordon, but maybe this is a vote of confidence in him. Maybe they feel he’s to the point where he’s strong enough not to just control himself but also to mentor someone else.

Soup you know me well enough to know that I don’t rely on the Mel Kipers of the world. When I say ‘everyone’ I’m referring to scouts and GM’s who have gone on the record. No one has projected him as a tackle in the NFL.

I’m not doubting the pick, I just don’t understand it right now.

Haslam learned his lesson; he’s the one who forced them to start Johnny 8-ball against the coaches’ will. He’s never going to do that again.

I still don’t know how our new ‘tackle’ fits in. Almost everyone thinks he’s a guard or center in the NFL. I went over all the contracts of our starters on the o-line, every single one of them is locked in for 2018. We just signed a RT from the Steelers, and we have Coleman. We also signed a swing tackle.

Love Guice, but based on history these guys like to get their RB’s late. I think we need more WR’s, LB’s, and maybe a pass rusher with a lot of upside.

Pretty much the opposite of reality. Williams is known for his blitzing. The Browns were far and away the biggest blitzing team in the league last season. Williams wants good corners because when he sends 6 guys he’s putting those corners on an island.

Uh oh, this draft does not get the Wunkle seal of approval….
