*run game
Stefanski purposely put that game plan out there to willfully destroy Mayfield. Aaron Rodgers literally said “it looks like he’s trying to put him in a bad spot.”
Stefanskis ego cost us out window.
Yesterday: 48 dropbacks and 19 runs
Previous 5 game average with Mayfield/Stefanski 38 drop backs and 22 runs.
He doesn’t run a “run fi…[Read more]

Stefanski must be fired. There’s literally no one worse. Manningcast – Eli, Peyton, Aaron Rodgers and Cowher all tore Stefanski in half.
2nd worst rush D in the NFL and he ran 19 times and dropped back to pass 48 times.
He left a rookie RT one on one with TJ Watt.
We needed all 3 TO for a chance at the end. He calls a QB sneak and a T…[Read more]

He’s signed next year. We have to see what comes available. We have one of the worst WR rooms in the NFL. Wilson isn’t waiving his no trade to come here and give up multiple first rounders isn’t an option that helps us.

If Baker wasn’t young and “invincible “ he’d shut it down and get the surgery this week. Winning these last 2 games does nothing but hurt draft position. It has zero effect on next year. My only hope next year is first game is against NFC team so our 0-1 start won’t hurt as bad. It’ll be last year of Stefanski and his horrible attempt at OC. Hope…[Read more]

Injuries are a huge problem. The sling he is wearing really hinders his throwing. I think it was hesselbeck who talked about it and said he couldnt get the ball to where he wanted and wouldn’t wear it. He also said if he can’t throw with it off then he shouldn’t be playing.
That boils down to coaching which we all know is a problem this year.…[Read more]soup replied to the topic Pretty obvious why the front office didn't sign Baker in off-season now in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
Because of the cap and 5th year option. There’s absolutely no reason to extend him. Bills made a huge mistake. Baltimore still hasn’t signed Lamar to an extension either.
His injuries have completely effected him, but what’s effected him more is Stefanski not trusting his staff and still having no clue how to coach.
We handed the ball off 23 ti…[Read more]

Time to end the Baker experiment. The last 2 months Baker is making Tim Tebow look like he should still be in the NFL. The passes are always under thrown and behind guys or leaving them to get lit up. He should have at least half of a dozen more pics where guys just drop the ball.
He has completely retracted. I understand the guy is hurt. But…[Read more]

The worst part of this is Baker out. When Stefanski tested I thought “yes, now AVP can show he’s better than Stefanski for the 2nd time and maybe they’ll finally give him the job.” Then Baker got hurt. Defense needs some key takeaways and our kicker hopefully learned how to kick. We will need one of those 40 rush attempt games eating the clock a…[Read more]

Sorry, my reference is too conservative in half 2. All the shots were taken in half 1. He flipped plans to prevent offense and prevent defense.
soup replied to the topic Weeks 13 and 14 were a movie script in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
The routes appeared to all be really short conservative routes. I think that’s his issue.

Week 13:
Ravens lose, Bengals lose, Raiders lose, Bills lose
Week 14:
Browns win, Ravens lose, Bengals lose, Raiders lose, Bills lose
Downside is our team has zero respect for the coaches and Garrett and now Mayfield have had enough.
Garrett has spoken up multiple times including about focus this week.
Baker is pissed about conservative 2nd…[Read more]

We also dropped 6 passes last time. Maybe 0 punts will equal 0 drops! My prediction for play 1:
Chubb and Hunt will be on the field. Play action. Perfect throw. Drop. Boos will reign down

2021 Browns: 17 catches 34 targets 50% catch rate.
2021 Rams: 9 catches on 18 targets. 50% catch rate.
I see a lot changed.
BrownsFan4Life replied to the topic It’s time in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
Definitely not a time to be firing Stefanski. That would be stupid. It has been a rough year. Some play alls are bad and a lot of pre snap penalties but there has also been good play calls and dropped passes. A coach isn’t going to be perfect and there are times I think some expect him to be.
BrownsFan4Life replied to the topic It’s the little things in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
The penalties that drive me nuts are the pre snap penalties and that is definitely coachable but so far it hasn’t improved as the year has gone on.
We aren’t a team that can make a ton of mistakes and win. We will be adding more talent next year and in theory, the schedule should be easier unless we win out. LOL.
BrownsFan4Life replied to the topic Baker has changed. in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
The team has had a lot of injuries.
This is Bakers 4th year. He is under contract for next year and we can franchise him after that if necessary. There is no reason to give up on him under these conditions.
Tough seasons happen. Don’t blow it all up and start over. The great teams don’t do that, they get through it and are better for it.csudawg replied to the topic Baker has changed. in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
I really think we should give him some fairness about how we judge him. He’s hurt and has been all season. He’s had missing tackles and RB’s hurt.
Ill take the 2 years ive seen before this one and bank on that.

I posted the video in the Baker has Changed thread and an outing it here too. Kurt Warner’s breakdown of half one plus my own overall less emotion driven input.
As you can see from this video it’s more of the same in regards to the team as a whole. The little issues are built up and compound and haven’t been addre…[Read more]

Hunt doesn’t run a clean route and hits the OL. Watch the play from behind and watch Hunt. Baker MUST hold onto the ball – however there’s no one to throw to bc Hunt timing got thrown off so he had no choice. Here’s Kurt Warners breakdown of half 1.
the dude replied to the topic Baker has changed. in the forum Browns Forum 3 years, 4 months ago
Personally, I have liked Baker.
But I am a realist and realize he cannot win when the game is on the line. This is extremely disappointing. I thought this year would be different.
I have been so hopeless for the last 10+ years. This hurts to see them so bad again. Might as well start the rebuild.
