Baker missed his target by YARDS on more than a few occasions. He also threw into two screens which had been blown before he released the ball, and didn’t see Beckham open for a touchdown on the final offensive play.

Baker has been incredibly inaccurate, which is a big change from last year.

We’re allergic to putting the ball into the hands of our playmakers, and have no interest in guarding the middle of the field.

I cannot recall an NFL team which clearly has this much talent take the field looking like they don’t understand how to play the game.

Interesting note; evidently the initial proposal by the Rams was Marcus Peters for Joel Bitonio. In certainly glad we turned that one down, we already have four starting caliber CBs, and Bitonio is one of our only two starting caliber linemen.

Almost a first round pick, and he plays 15 snaps in 2 seasons. Oof.

I stand by my concern that Freddie is in over his head. I don’t care about the play calling, that’s something which comes with time.

I’m worried about:

-Poor clock management
-An extreme lack of discipline
-Completely being outdone by the other team’s halftime adjustments.

I can take nothing away from the effort Beckham and Landry give on every play, regardless of whether they have the ball; throwing blocks, being decoys. Truly the best tandem we’ve ever had, and being totally wasted.

Also, Myles should always get a gameball. He’s cleaned up the penalties and is now just a beast.

Baker needs to start stepping up in the pocket to let plays develop instead of rolling to his right. I don’t see our offense clicking until he can do this regularly.

When we have expectations, we’ve horribly underperformed. Let’s give being huge underdogs a go.

With all his weapons, I think he’s too focused on hitting OBJ and Landry over the top for huge chunks of yardage every play, and overlooking safe plays underneath. Especially next week, with the Rams, he needs to focus on checking down to Chubb and Johnson more often.
