Gameball to the other TV at the bar which has a surfing competition for dogs on at present.

I get it in the context of Harrison and Callaway, two players whom Dorsey wants to be a big part of our future, yet are starting their career in the same substance abuse program as Gordon. While neither one is on the same level of talent as Gordon, it’s important to show that we’ll be holding them accountable.

Absolutely a bold move, throwing an undrafted rookie against Cameron Heyward week one. They must have some confidence in the kid, keeping Taylor upright is going to be a huge part of getting the upset victory this week. I’d expect a lot of two tight end sets in this game.

I’ll admit I’d never heard of him until a couple weeks back, and ever since the news that he might start at Left Tackle, I’ve been reading up. Damned if he doesn’t have a scary off-field history, and the failed combine test shows he’s…[Read more]

I can see that. If we’re keeping it 90s, I also get a slight reminder of the Hale Bopp cult.

I’ll be there!
Last game I went to was the San Diego game two years back…if they win this one, everyone should pool money and buy me season tickets.

I don’t know…I think the backlash is a further embarrassment to our country, and I’m a firm supporter of Kap and all those taking a knee…but looking to Nike as a champion of social justice is pretty lame, considering the conditions in which their clothing is manufactured…

The meltdown over this is hilarious. “I’m burning my shoes I paid $100 for, take that!”

Sounds like they’ll take their time getting him up to speed, I wonder if he’ll see the field for the “dress rehearsal” third game? I know the fourth preseason game is usually entirely backups.
I’d like to see him at least get a chance to build chemistry on a couple drives with Tyrod. The last couple of times he’s come back, he and the QBs were…[Read more]

If it’s true that he’s looking for a one-year “prove it” deal, I hope he signs. He’ll be playing hard every down to show he’s worth a big contract next year, he’ll be a vocal leader alongside Landry, and most importantly he’s one more veteran whom our young guys will need to battle for playing time.
I don’t see a downside.

@ice I 100% agree.
I’ve always felt MLB has the most common sense drug policy. You get tested regularly for PEDs (including HGH, which I don’t think the NFL does). Any other illegal substances are only tested for if there’s reason to. As in, if you get busted with a Daryl Strawberry’s worth of cocaine by the cops, you’ll likely be subjected to…[Read more]

Unless he was really being a huge problem in the locker room, I don’t see why this was optimal over letting him catch some passes from decent QBs for once (I recall him looking good with McCown his first year before his injury). A couple preseason games of that and the first team to have a WR injury would probably be interested in kicking the tires.

Traded to the Bills, we get a pick in return but I have yet to see what round. Can’t imagine more than a fifth or sixth.

To me, however, that is exactly a moral equivalency. It’s your choice as a business owner what code of conduct you hold your employees to, and what rules you set in place for them. How do you think it would go over if owners explained this new policy to players in terms of “Well, Roseanne got fired on the same basis, so you understand what we’re…[Read more]

Drawing a moral equivalency between going on racist rants on Twitter and making a carefully measured and respectful gesture drawing attention to social issues is a pretty lame argument.
MDP Sack Attack replied to the topic Browns Offered 35th Pick For Foles in the forum Browns Forum 7 years, 11 months ago
I’m comfortable living in the minority where I’d have rather the 35th pick landed us “29 year old QB who has been proven beyond a doubt to be good enough to lead his team to victory against Tom Brady’s Patriots” instead of “running back who has the potential to be good in the NFL but got passed over 34 times for players with more potential”. Call…[Read more]
