I thought we were done here?

Why am I constantly lied to when it comes to things regarding this franchise lmao?

This was the season that broke me.

I’ve unfortunately and painfully come to the conclusion that the passion, support, and loyalty given to the Browns is not reciprocated in any way by the organization, and frankly, they don’t fucking deserve it from me anymore.

The owner is a lying conman, not to mention a complete dumbfuck, and he is clueless to the fans of Ohio, and of this team. His Tennessee shaped scoreboard should have clued us in long ago that he genuinely doesn’t give one fuck about any of us.

He has assembled a low-rent, humiliating organization that year after imploding year continues to embarrass the great people of Cleveland, the city itself, and fans of the Browns across the world. It’s a slap in the face to us on a constant basis. The entire Deshaun Watson debacle was the final straw for me.

I’ve chosen to detach from it. From something that I’ve loved for as long as I can remember. I don’t support them anymore, and I’m never going to give them another dollar. Not until all of this is over. Until Haslam is gone, the rapist is gone, and the Browns are actually an NFL franchise again.

It’s somewhat easier for me in that I do work for another NFL currently, so I have another team to root for (but they suck too lmao).

I honestly don’t give a fuck if they win or lose. That hurts to say too, but it’s honest.

Those who know me as a person can find me on Facebook and Instagram if you like. Otherwise……….gentlemen, it’s been an honor and a privilege. We’ve had some absolutely outstanding moments and convos far too many to list, starting all the way back at Dawg Talk for some of us, then on to Dune’s board Dawgbones, and then here. Some of us like myself have been part of it since 99, and we’ve been bullshitting with each other since then. It’s a sad day to see it come to and end, but everything does.

Best of luck everyone, maybe I’ll find you out there in the ether!

    Agreed.

Now instead of being a felon, we can just all agree that he’s a fucking piece of shit.

Huge difference between being a criminal, and a big piece of shit.

I’m really glad as an organization we were able to establish that difference.

Are you still allowed to root for this team? Fire everyone and blah blah blah 2 plays into the season opener.

Please don’t watch, I feel your bad juju and outrageous reactions will jinx us and we’ll lose, and then we’ll have to spend all offseason listening to you whine about who to fire. Which will probably be everyone.

Just, find something else to do man.

In his last 6 games, He’s completed 64% of his passes, over 1300 yarrds, 11 TD’s and 1 INT and the Browns are 5-1.

And that’s with 3 of those games being played in ridiculous weather conditions that made throwing the football nearly a moot point.

People see what they want to see. They make up their minds that someone just isn’t good, nothing they do or anyone says to them can change their mind.

People also don’t want to take into consideration that Baker is on his 4th head coach, 4th offensive coordinator, and 3rd system in his 3 years of playing. That is an incredible handicap to overcome and a huge disservice to his his development.

But people don’t care. It’s just ridiculous the criticism he’s taken, because most of it is unwarranted. He’s a top 10 QB, and is someone you would definitely build a team around. Period.

All I read was: “EVERY GAME MUST WIN!!! BROWNS HAVE TO GO 16-0 OR THEY ARE WORST ASSEMBLED GROUP OF PEOPLE IN THE HISTORY OF THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE. FIRE EVERYONE. MOVE TO ENGLAND. NEVER WATCH FOOTBALL AGAIN. CUT OFF OWN PENIS AND THROW VIOLENTLY INTO FREEWAY TRAFFIC FROM BRIDGE!!”

Anyone giving Sendejo a game ball is insane. He didn’t play a good game, it’s just the fact that he didn’t play a horrifically awful one that makes it stand out and seem good. It wasn’t. He’s still a useless bum with no business being on the field. We just didn’t see him flailing helplessly, giving up 3 TD’s, being shockingly out of position, or taking out any of our players on idiotic plays where he’s wildly throwing his body around for absolutely no reason.

He had a pass breakup. One. A, singular, pass breakup. He’s our starting safety and has played every defensive snap this season, and it took that dude until game 11 to get his first pass defensed. JJ Watt had 4 in one game last week and he’s a defensive lineman.

Sendejo is a bum, and he did NOT, have a good game at all. He just wasn’t comically god-awful.

    Lmao @ “must win”.

It absolutely is not. We “should” win. But it’s not a must win. If we lose, we’re not anywhere near close to being eliminated from the playoffs. We could lose and still not lose any ground on the spot we’re currently in, which if the season ended today, results in us in the playoffs.

    Lighten up Francis.

DS, I;ll say the same thing I said to Soup in the other thread, to you.

Baker Mayfield completed 22 consecutive passes over 5 consecutive TD drives with all 5 TD’s coming from him, the last one being an 80 yard drive with 1:06 on the clock and no timeouts for a come from behind victory on the road against a division rival, and all you can talk about is who we’re gonna draft to replace him?

Jesus fucking Christ, this is why I say that Browns fans are the dumbest group of fans in the entire league. It’s not even close.

The guy played 1 bad quarter, going 0-5, and from that point on was literally, LITERALLY flawless, perfect, for the remaining 3 quarters in a win and the only thing people want to say is dumb shit like “well yeah but…….”

    Fuckouttahere with that nonsense.

So just to be clear, Baker Mayfield completes 22 consecutive passes on 5 consecutive TD drives (all from him) one of which is an 80 yard drive with 1:06 left in the game and no timeouts for a come from behind victory on the road against a division rival…….and he doesn’t get a ball.

    Gotcha.

Just the overall way the browns are winning. They do what good teams do and find ways to hold onto victories instead of constantly handing them away like we always have.

Cincinnati was a good “shake it off” game after getting embarrassed by Baltimore. Old Browns teams would have hung their heads and let it get to them so much that they would have lost that one too and would be staring at 0-2 and the start of another miserable season. This one didn’t.

We started leaking momentum in the 3rd against Washington but completely shut them down in the 4th quarter and put them away. Old Browns teams would have just wilted and let them come back and win. This one didn’t.

We were up 41-14 against Dallas and watched it dwindle to 3. Old Browns teams would have let them complete the comeback. This one didn’t.

The Colts are a legitimate team with a nasty, stout, #1 rated defense, and we were without our top RB and several key defensive starters. Old Browns teams would have just walked themselves behind the woodshed to take the beating. This one didn’t. It punched them in the mouth and held it.

We’re winning games the way that good teams win them. That’s what impresses me the most. (Also, I’ve been talking about this on the show every week).

I don’t think that being in Freddies doghouse should be an indictment f his career. Let’s be honest.

    Also, injuries……..

That said…….dude drops more deliveries than Fedex. That’s just real. Also, bro you played two years. Showed promise in 1, did absolutely jackshit in the 2nd. Now’s not the time to in any way be bitching or griping or….whatever the fuck it is you’re doing.

And let’s be clear here on what he’s doing: Pouting. Cause we gave Hooper the big bucks, and he’s thinking “well fuck, OBJ, Landry, Chubb, Kareem, man I’m #5 at best on this list I ain’t neva gonna see the ball man so fuck it imma dip, trade me”

Fuck that. Your coach loves running two TE sets. Boo hoo, you might have to block too.

Stop pouting, catch the rock, and do your fucking job. Go win a Superbowl, then be as diva as you wanna be son, no one is gonna stop you. Until then, shut the fuck up. Youre a 1st round pick, stop being a bitch.

#1 Otto Graham. Went to 27 straight Championships in 14 years. Name was fucking “Otto”. No one else can lay claim to that level of awesomeness. Greatest player in Browns history. (I said it).

#2 Jim Brown. Football career that nearly rivaled his domestic violence one. Would have won one more ring if he’d have thrown Vince Lombardi off a balcony like he did his girlfriend, that drops him to #2

#3 Joe Thomas. Is actually still playing. Consecutive snap count currently at 16,873. Closest thing on Earth to an actual Marvel superhero.

#4 Ben Gay. Rushed for over 100 yards and scored a touchdown while sharing a namesake with ointment that doubled as a homophobic giggle inducer. Holds Guinness World Record for largest amount of unverified, phantom hype ever produced for an imaginary athlete, edging out Paul Blake when Wally Riggendorf found him on his farm.

Clowney is in fact living up to his name if he doesn’t take the Browns offer. It’s a one year prove-it deal and we’re gonna pay him the most money.

He needs to get over the fact that he’s not gonna get paid what he wants. He wants to get paid like a 15-17 sack guy and he’s never even been a 10 sack guy.

Is he a good player? Yes. Is he a dominant force that should be paid like the elite? Sweet Jesus no. Take our money, go be a beast, and if you’re as good as you think you are the money will come. If you have another year like you did in Seattle, get ready for a bunch of low-level deals that are appropriate to your production. Period.

The Browns are willing to overpay the fuck out of him for one year to see if it’s there. He should take it. He’s not gonna get anything better anywhere else.

3rd and 4th WR aren’t that strong ether. And with obj and landry coming off surgory that might be real important.

The only reason I don’t think this is as big of a deal is because of the addition of Austin Hooper and Stefanski’s high rate of running two TD sets. I think what you’re going to see is that Hooper and Njoku are going to essentially be that 3rd and 4th receiver. However I do agree it would be nice from the standpoint of depth we need to add to it still. A dirty chain-moving slot guy would be swell.

I think that my skepticism and criticism of the front office was both warranted and deserved. I don’t in any way back off from any comments that I made about them, and would make them again without hesitation.

However, for me at least (I can’t speak for anyone else), not only can actions trigger a change in view, they can in fact turn the tide from angst to optimism.

Everything that I felt, thought, and saw coming has so far been shockingly wrong. I was fuming over letting Schobert go. I was………….man you guys know me, you see me, you’ve heard me. I lost my mind over some shit.

I have to give it to this team though, I’ve never really been any happier with the way a FO has navigated an offseason as I am right now. I feel that they have handled this with aplomb.

The FA signings were fucking daggers. The draft so far has been just homeruns. They’re killing it. This is so far beyond the pale for this team that seeing what’s happening just doesn’t seem real. I’m not used to this kind of attack.

I said many times that I would never be happier to be so wrong, and sweet mother of god, it feels really, REALLY good to be wrong. Now I’m not jumping full-bore into a crazed “Superbowl!!!!” mindset and rambling on like an idiot that’s drinking the Kool-aid, but damn………it’s almost like these guys have a plan and are nailing it.

I honestly can’t bitch about one thing they’ve done so far. I can’t. I think part of me wants to……but I’m struggling to.

This is roster is turning into an absolute embarrassment of riches. I’m just praying that the coaching staff we have put together can unleash it and for the first time in over 20 years, really go kick some ass.

I don’t know if I’m 100% “all-in” just quite yet……but I don’t know how much longer I can toe the line of being a dissenter.

We’re absolutely stacked on offense. It’s…..good God look at what we have.

Defensively now…….a stud safety to go along with Greedy and Ward……a great linebacker……..

I dunno. I don’t know what to complain about.

I won’t lie part of me is a little bit bummed that there wasn’t any orange pants or even a jersey (I know I’m in the minority on the orange jerseys, but I really liked them) but overall I’m happy.
