@Soup, you gonna chime in here or just, ya know, let this fade away?

Ice started the topic Should we trade Joe Haden after the season? in the forum Browns Forum 9 years, 5 months ago
No, I’m not crazy. @Soup thinks we should cut him which is utterly ridiculous, but from an economic point of view trading him may make sense. Unlike Soup I’m not as worried about his play on the field; no one on defense is playing well in the current scheme. What makes me concerned is his concussion history. He has already missed 3 games this…[Read more]

@soup one point where we disagree is on ‘consensus’ guys. Who formed the consensus? Two douchebags at ESPN who have never played or coached at any level? Soup and I both said we wouldn’t touch Manziel in the 1st round. In fact if memory serves me right, I said I wouldn’t think about him until about the 5th round, and Soup said he was undraftable.…[Read more]

As far as the article you posted, it may be 100% correct but he didn’t post any of the quotes he’s referencing. I don’t recall Williams speaking badly about the coaches to the media but I do have a terrible memory. The article is full of conjecture and seems to have an anti-coach bias. I’m not saying the article is wrong, just saying that it…[Read more]

Doesn’t prove your point at all – it shows mine perfectly.
Palmer wasn’t put into a position to succeed by the coach so he failed. Went to a fantastic coach and succeeded
Remember a few years ago when people were jealous of Green Bay’s recievers with Jennings and Jones? I got ripped on for stating they aren’t as good as people thinkg. Our…[Read more]

If Haslam had anything to do with the JFF pick, he’s certainly learned his lesson.
Carson Palmer is an example that proves my point, not yours @Soup. Put good players together and you get a good team. Put bad players together and you get a bad team.

I don’t subscribe to @Soup‘s notion that coaching is the biggest problem on this team, but if I did this would be exhibit A.
Count the defenders. Use your fingers, I promise you won’t run out.

Looks like Peyton might have a field day. Unless you ask @soup, who thinks Haden is a liability.

The only reason I put him there is because of his comment on Cleveland.com about him liking to hit people and tackle and yet he did it worst scenario.

Agree with @Soup, there’s no place for that here. Just lost a ton of respect for you as well, Syd.
And Dawson, I’d move Coons into the Gameballs category. Yes, he had a dumb penalty, but 4/4 with a game-winner is 4/4 with a game winner.

Yet you agree the guy who allowed 11 catches of 11 targets of opponents number 1 WR in 2 of 3 games (no data on the other game showing either way) would’ve made a positive difference in the game? Think about that for a moment.
Ice replied to the topic Haden was missed sunday in the forum Browns Forum 9 years, 7 months ago
@soup when we drafted Haden you echoed many of the same sentiments. A couple seasons later you admitted you were dead wrong and that Haden was absolutely worth the pick. Are you now saying that you were dead wrong again? I’m just trying to keep up with the flip-flopping.

Keep in mind he complimented the staff for starting McCown. You know..Josh McCown. I might contend that signing Josh McCown as our starter wasn’t a smart move to begin with…thus, this decision wasn’t smart..just a continuation of a poor decision.
Unfortunately, I feel we need to really see what we have in Manziel. The only reason I would be…[Read more]

Am I going nuts or did @soup just compliment the staff?
Ice replied to the topic Offense's game today in the forum Browns Forum 9 years, 7 months ago
I think the best thing about our offense this week is that we didn’t put the game in the hands of a very unproven commodity at QB. 27 rushing plays, 15 passing plays. It’s so strange that we had only 42 offensive plays and still won, but we rushed almost twice as much as we passed. Let’s see @Soup be bitter about that!
