This comment is absolutely bathed in irony. You’re going to criticize Van Pelt and assume he’ll be pass happy because he was a QB???
And yet, you refuse to give Stefanski any credit for Minnesota’s run heavy offense last year because Gary Kubiak was “the mastermind” behind the whole operation.
One guess what position Gary Kubiak played pr…[Read more]

Right, so, if you read what I wrote, I never said it was a rough schedule. I said it was a rough start to go on the road to Baltimore, and follow that up with a Thursday nighter.
It looks like you agree with me that Baltimore on the road is a rough start, because you penciled in an L for that game. I also said in a follow up that regardless…[Read more]

How are you coming up with 6-2 if last years records are meaningless??? Do you see just how ridiculous and contradictory your logic is?
And I’m not interested in your 2 cherry picked examples where teams had big swings. Usually big swings up can be attributed a new QB or HC, while big swings down can be attributed to player losses, coach l…[Read more]

Well yeah, every war prior to that was won with ground troops, but WWII we had to start getting cute and bringing in the air raid and forgetting the tried and true formula for success.

Holy shit you’re insufferable. “Last years record means zilch??” Sure. The Bengals, Lions, 49ers, and Chiefs are all the same team. Yep. Ok.
I looked at the schedule and offered my thoughts. You’ve provided 0, zip, nada, nothing about the schedule.
Regarding the Ravens, they can prepare now by studying Stefanskis offense from Minneso…[Read more]

The Bengals have a home game against the Chargers, who went 5-11 last year with Philip Rivers, and will be now starting either a rookie or Tyrod Taylor. And Zac Taylor is in his second season. That’s a soft week 1.
And it has nothing to do with my comments about the Browns schedule.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic Browns Schedule in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 11 months ago
The rough start is the 2 weeks I explicitly pointed out. Baltimore only lost 2 games last year, and the Browns were the only team to beat them IN Baltimore, which has been one of the most difficult stadiums for away teams to play in over the last decade, statistically speaking. I hate Baltimore as much as anybody, but there is simply no denying…[Read more]

I was merely reviewing the schedule and pointing out a few observations. Was not making any excuses.
Did I say anything wrong? Do you disagree that the Browns have a rough start to the schedule?

But would he be better than the winner of Forbes v. Teller?
Dawg E. Dawg started the topic Larry Worford in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 11 months ago
We still have the most cap space in the league, and Worford is a 3-time pro bowler. I know we have a lot of money in the line, but tell me this doesn’t make sense.
Curious to see what people who are more into the X’/s and O’s of line play think. I did see that Worford is one of the slowest guards in the NFL, and my understanding is the schem…[Read more]

One more note about the schedule: the NFL CLEARLY doesn’t want their MVP losing to the Browns. Starting a new coach off on the road at Baltimore is bad enough, but for the second meeting, the Browns play the Ravens on a Monday Night with the Ravens coming off a Thursday Night game, meaning the Ravens have an extra 4 days to prepare for it. Nope. While the west coast teams get preference, the 4:00 games are allotted to high interest games that aren’t in primetime, because there are fewer games that are going on at 4:00.
The best example is always the Cowboys. This year, they play the Giants twice, the Steelers, the Vikings, and the Eagles at 4:00. Even though none of those t…[Read more]

Yeah, don’t know where I got 6 from. Whoops. Still, I think Brown goes and Lamm makes it, even with Hubbard. Gilbert and D’Ernest Johnson are other candidates. I doubt we keep 4 RBs and a FB. I get Stefanski likes to run, but that’s a lot of guys back there.
On the defense, all I’ll say is that linebackers corps….yuck. That leaves…[Read more]

I don’t see how Kendall Lamm doesn’t make the roster. If I have to take a player, I would say 6 TE’s is too many, even for this offense, and Pharoah Brown gets the boot.

Pump the brakes. No way is DPJ the number 3 til he proves it. He’s a 6th round pick for a reason. And if the FO thought that way, they probably wouldn’t have signed Higgins.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic Browns Exercising 5th Year Options for Garret and Njoku in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 12 months ago
Just saw the Browns resigned Hollywood Higgins to a 1-year deal.
Ok, I’m all aboard the hype train.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic Browns Exercising 5th Year Options for Garret and Njoku in the forum Browns Forum 5 years, 12 months ago
Agreed, though the 5th year option is pretty expensive and typically pays players like they’re stars. Njoku was drafted near the end of round 1, so, not sure if that impacts his fifth year option cost and makes it lower?
It seemed though, that the previous FO considered him a bust, given how little they used him over the 2nd half of the s…[Read more]

Garret comes as no surprise to anybody with a pulse.
But Njoku? I found that encouraging, as many were thinking the pick of Harrison Bryant could signal a lack of faith in Njoku.
IMO, Njoku came into the league so young, that it would be foolish to give up on him so quickly. I’m excited to see what he can do with a HC calling plays he’s pra…[Read more]
