Never said any of that. But, if you’re going to compare their offense to the rest of the league, it’s important to consider the level of defenses they’ve faced. This is particularly important when you’re trying to make conclusions based on a very small sample size, which is what you’re trying to do.
And I have no fucking clue what Baltimore…[Read more]

Damn. If I just change my diet and throw a hissy fit, I could be a 6’5” 230 lb Adonis rooting for the super bowl champion Browns. I’ve been doing life wrong apparently.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic When is the breaking point? in the forum Browns Forum 6 years, 6 months ago
4 of the 5 teams we’ve faced have defenses that are currently 13th in the league or better. The 5th team we hung 40 on.
Perspective is important.

It amazes me that you can simultaneously give Williams all the credit in the world for his record while exonerating him for his defenses performance, AND crucify Freddie Kitchens for his offenses performance while giving him no credit for his wins. Backassery at its finest.

What is it with you personal vendetta against Freddie? We get it, you hate a HC that calls plays. But in the name of everything holy STOP trying to make the Browns fit the narrative you’re trying to create.

The patriots lost to the Lions last year 10-26, and to the Titans 10-34. Even good teams have bad losses.
And growth isn’t linear in the NFL. If you expected the Browns to beat each opponent by larger and larger margins in order to show “growth,” then you’re delusional.
The Browns came out flat after a big divisional win, facing an opponen…[Read more]

Williams is a 61 year old retread with a career 22-34 record as a head coach. This is the guy that thought playing Jabril Peppers in the 4th row of the dawg pound was a good plan. Your obsession with him is mind boggling.
Williams was given a buttload if talent on D, and yet his D turned into Swiss cheese with the game on the line week in and…[Read more]

They were moving the ball when I said it, then didn’t do shit in Q3.

Whatever hole you crawled into after last weeks win, that’s where you should be now. Freddie’s offense is moving the ball, play calls are moving the ball. Player execution is the biggest issues. Please watch the game before you comment.

That was beautiful. Just pure poetry.
Over/under on number of times I watch that is set at 11. I’d take the over.

Wanted to update this/:
Matt Lefluer: 3-1
Freddie: 2-2
Bruce Arians: 2-2Other 5 new HCs: 0-18-1
Weird how I don’t hear anybody hating on the Freddie hire this week. Real head scratcher.

Bill Belichick started his NE coaching career 0-4. Which became 2-8. Which became 5-11 overall.
Buh buh buh, Freddie’s in his second year…
Belichick started his second year in NE going 1-2. Which then became 1-3.
At that point, you would’ve fired him 19 times, before he ever had a chance to finish that second season 11-5 enroute to an eve…[Read more]

There are currently 8 first year HCs. Of them Matt Lefluer is 3-0 with one the best QBs of all time. Bruce Arians has 1 win, in his second stint as a head coach (third if you count his time as interim HC). Freddie has 1 win.
The other 5 are a combined 0-14-1.
It. Takes. Time.

Goat – Jermaine whitehead.
He made a couple boneheaded plays and penalties yesterday, including hitting Goff while he’s already on the ground. Gave the Rams a 1st down on what should have been a 4th and 4.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic Freddie Kitchens in the forum Browns Forum 6 years, 7 months ago
Freddie probably would take the blame, but not challenging the PI has to be on the replay guy. They have a guy looking that over, telling them to challenge or not. He has to tell Freddie to challenge that, no idea why they didn’t.
I still haven’t seen an argument as to why Freddie is worse than 3-35-1.
Dawg E. Dawg replied to the topic Freddie Kitchens in the forum Browns Forum 6 years, 7 months ago
You haven’t made an argument backing up your statement that he’s “far and away the worst coach we’ve ever had.” Because you can’t. Because he’s not.
The argument for keeping Kitchens?
1.) it’s 3 games. R-E-L-A-X. You don’t even consider getting rid of a coach after 3 games. Or 8 games. Or 12 games. Bare minimum you give them a full…[Read more]

Never said he’s an excellent head coach. Don’t put words in my mouth.
The worst head coach we’ve ever had? We had Romeo Crennel, Pat Shurmer, and Mike Pettine. All worse HCs than Kitchens. Freddie would have to lose the next 29 games to match Hue Jackson’s record over his first seasons. It is almost STATISTICALLY IMPOSSIBLE for Freddie…[Read more]

See, the problem is you’re reacting like we ARE 1-5. We’re not. I don’t disagree that if we don’t improve, we will be 1-5. Hell, we’ll be 1-6, because we actually have 5 2-0 teams coming up.
But we’re not there, so I’m not going to base my judgments off that.
27 penalties: agreed inexcusable. But it’s not a long term statistic. We…[Read more]

Why is it OK that the didn’t meet my expectations? Because he’s a HC with now 2 games under his belt. Bound to be a learning curve. Because it’s September. Because, as noted by others, the issues seem to be more execution issues than schematic issues. Because we have a very small sample size to work with.
I’ve already addressed throwin…[Read more]
