Cincinnatti ownership has a desire to remain as mediocre as possible for as little money as possible. That is the organizational goal. Instead of trying to win as much as possible to earn as much as possible, they try to spend as little as possible. Considering one has a huge injury history and one doesn’t, I would go with the one who doesn’t.

Wirfs is a very good run blocker, but he often doesn’t finish the block. This is a coachable defect, though.

I saw that and gave it some thought. I think it makes sense, as long as they add 3 rookie spots the roster or practice squad. According to Joe Thomas, Wirfs is the best run blocker of the bunch and with the Browns seemingly looking to run more, I think he would be a great fit.
Personally, I don’t think we can go wrong with any of them but my hope is that we Trade for Williams and trade up to get Simmons.

If we can sign Clowney then Vernon is definitely gone. This would also make the signing of Clayborn (two year deal) even better. He would be a solid backup and would be able to give both Garrett and Clowney rest as needed.
