I voted @shooter. oddly, I see us with Mayfield when all is said and done. Just a hunch. Nothing to bet on.

Uh oh, someone’s got a mancrush! You’re asking me to prove a subjective opinion? With stats? Ok. He has one amazing trait – his passing strength. In this he even surpasses Kizer. He also has one glaring weakness – accuracy. On this he is even worse than Kizer. He had a 56% completion percentage in college, playing against mostly high school level…[Read more]
Ice replied to the topic How good is Carson Wentz? in the forum Browns Forum 6 years, 9 months ago
Exactly what I’m saying. You think Wentz’ numbers would have looked much different in that game? @Shooter made a great point about Jeff Fisher in the other thread. Jeff Fisher’s offense made some really good QB’s look like castoffs from the Browns. I think Philly’s offense makes guys that would be castoffs from the Browns into Superbowl MVP’s.…[Read more]

Um, so a real life example of the difference a QB makes doesn’t back up @shooter points? How so?
Deshon Kizer literally turned the ball over MORE than 26 NFL teams did.
With Deshaun Watson Houston averaged 21.7 PPG more than they did without him when they went 1-9.
How is that not relevant?
Look at GB with Rodgers and without him. Playoffs…[Read more]

@shooter if he doesn’t grab a QB he’s a bust. Don’t care about his past. The worst position on our team by a long shot – is QB. there’s really no debating that fact. We literally have the worst QB in the NFL leading our team.
My Farmer statement came from the article essentially stating a few times he went off the rails and ignored scouts which…[Read more]

Zampese who was recently fired by Bengals for sucking. He was Hues QB coach in Cincy so he’s very familiar with the system. Combo of the two could work.
Ice replied to the topic Fix the Browns NOW. in the forum Browns Forum 7 years ago
@Shooter I think you misunderstood. What would you do right now to get us wins THIS YEAR? Your fixes in the front office won’t affect the current season at all. Also it sounds like you appreciate the Mike Holmgren approach. Was that a case of right system but wrong guy?
@Soup who would you hire as OC? Someone currently unemployed? Then you spend…[Read more]

I guarantee you, GUARANTEE YOU, Peppers was going to the Steelers if we hadn’t picked him, and the Bills were in talks with the Lions, with a deal in place, to move up to take Kizer at the pick right after ours. The Bills FO was IRATE that we took him. They had him rated as he best QB on their board and couldn’t believe he fell that…[Read more]

@shooter. I guarantee you that Peppers and Kizer weren’t even on some teams draft boards.
Don’t start splitting hairs with me now.Draft grade and being on a teams board are two different things, but you’re trying to conflate them into being the same and it’s bullshit.
They weren’t on teams draft boards that didn’t need safeties or QB’s. That d…[Read more]

Big Ben. Got laughed off an old board along with @shooter for calling him a future HOF.
I can attest to this.

I wrote down 2 to appease you and bring the thread back. But since that’s not good enough:

But so far @shooter, Christian McCaffrey has been lights out! 8 carries 10 yards today giving him 21 carries for 57 yards on the season! He’s killing it!

Parkey may not be an issue, but he’s nothing special either. Zane Gonzalez, on the other hand just might be.
We’re talking about a kicker that didn’t miss a kick under 50 (that’s right 50…5-0!!) yards last season, and he went 7-9 from over 50, with his longest being a 59 yarder. Parkey’s career long is 54 yards.
Giving that pick an F…[Read more]

Most successful kicker in FBS history. I’m okay with having another Phil Dawson for the next 15 years. It was a 7th round pick, not a 1st.

Lol, I would have passed on him and left his ass undrafted. That dude gets injured the moment he touches a football, let alone the off field stuff. My tune on that guy has definitely changed.
Somebody is gonna break that guy in two, if/when he sees the field.
